Alycia de Mesa, also known as Fire Sparkles The Sky, has over 20 years experience as a classically-trained harpist.  She studied classical solo music and played as an orchestral, music theater and ensemble player throughout her teens and twenties. Her teachers included Karen Miller, Christine Vivona, Caroll McLaughlin and Marcella Decray. Today she is a versatile player of many genres. In addition to performing classical and contemporary music, her passion is to create, perform and record original, harp-based music that blends classical, jazz, world music, and pop within an improvisational framework. Think the harp goddess meets Sting. Alycia's solo harp music is known collectively as Harp Angel music - beautiful original music  co-created in the moment based on your unique event. Just arrived in the United States. Alla began her instruction at the age of 8. Her first harp instructor was the famous Marianna Sholokhova, graduate of Moscow Conservatory and follower of the Russian National Harp School founder Ksenia Erdely. Alla continued her education at State College of Art in Rostov-On-Don. She has a Master's Degree and also was Deputy Director at Musical College with a career that spans over 20 years. Invited to perform in Hongkong at the famous Shangri-La and also at St. John's Cathedral. Instructor at the Music And Drama Institute for the last 2 1/2 years. Alla now brings her unique talent and experience to America.
