Cass County Missouri

Juli Sackman
Harpist —  Lees Summit, Missouri
I have served Kansas City since 1977, and played my first hotel restaurants in 1982, 6 days a week.  After national and international travel, I returned to the Kansas City area for family reasons playing weddings, business open houses, awards banquets, retirement parties, etc. I "sprung" my last child in 2005, so for a sweet enough deal I could travel anywhere again. Single gigs, Kansas City area, only.  Repertoire includes at least one pop tune from every decade from 70's till now, classical, Irish, souvenirs from traveling, a little jazz and blues, locally written rock tunes, a country & western, children's music, lots of movies, and many pieces written just for the harp. hstrings47@aol.com

Rick Stanley
Harpist — Douds, Iowa
Singer/Songwriter/Harper/Harpmaker Rick Stanley started his musical career on the cutting edge of the 60's folk rock scene by recording The Gentle Soul, "The most beautiful...album of the year" (Billboard Magazine) with legendary guitarist Ry Cooder on Columbia Records (Re-Released 2004). After years of performing all over the world and recording seven highly acclaimed albums of original and traditional music, his ability to become "one" with the audience, sharing spontaneous tears and abundant laughter, is something wonderful to experience. A multi-instrumentalist, Rick accompanies his "Cat Stevens like voice" with his extraordinarily creative style on self-built Irish harp, 6 & 12 string guitar and banjo. Bodhran (Irish drum) great, Claudine, masterfully accompanies Rick and at larger venues, fiddler Tara Dutcher joins in.
