Julia Shrake
Harpist — New Hartford, Connecticut
I am a Celtic Folk Harper teaching and playing in CT., Southern Mass. and Eastern N.Y. State.
I specialize in Traditional Irish music — mostly lovely aires and ballads —
with some Medieval/Early Music and Original tunes mixed in.
I play a custom 31 string floor harp of green ashwood with Celtic designs and knotwork
painted on the pale yellow soundboard that I made at Folk Craft Instruments in Winsted, CT.
I am available for any gathering where soothing, non-intrusive music is appropriate.
I have great references from weddings, showers, Irish Festivals, Historical Societies (in costume),
Seniors Groups, workshops and students. You can find me on my website at:

Mia Theodoratus
Harpist — New York, New York
Electric and Acoustic Celtic Harp with vocals
Celtic harps offer a portable and refreshing entertainment for all sorts of gatherings including weddings, receptions and large events.  Besides just playing private events for over ten years I also play venues like the Knitting Factory, Caesar’s Place in Atlantic City, Tonic, Carnegie Hall and tour nationally with my electric harp and tabla (Indian drums) duo Jah-La.  The 2003 season was highlighted by performances in the Acropolis in Athens, Greece. Besides playing I also sing traditional folk songs and don’t mind learning songs for your occasion! If you are thinking bigger than just solo harp I also play with viola, flute or cello! For a bit livelier event I highly recommend having hand drums as well as harp!  www.frantone.com/mia/home.html
