Mary Fitzgerald

For 20 years, I was the US Navy's primary White House support musician;
have adjudicated
harp competitions; have given workshops on Celtic harp styles &
ornamentation; have given
solo concerts and been in concert and have recorded
with local Celtic groups "Connemara"
and "IONA." I have been a full-time
professional for 26 years; teach ear-training, melodic
dictation (play /write a
tune upon hearing it), theory (pick out chords during a seissiun),
improvisation
over a lead sheet and over a chord chart, and accompaniment in addition to solid
ergonomical technic training for playing comfortably. I'm also contracted to
prepare an entire
book of O'Carolan tunes for Mel Bay music publishers.
