Isle
of Winds — David Michael — While
performing outdoors, the wind often adds a ghostly dimension to the harp’s
voice, an elusive sound which is difficult to capture cleanly on a recording.
ISLE OF WINDS succeeds in doing just that. The wind interacting with the harp
was recorded on a warm spring day at Chinese Gardens in Port Townsend,
Washington. This suite for solo harp is naturally enhanced by the string action
caused by the gentle breezes. Included are many passages where David responds
musically to the wind events, creating a unique sound, a milestone in harp music
and an effective interplay with nature.

Passage — David Michael & Randy
Mead — Features lyrical melodies performed acoustically on Celtic harp and
flutes with a sprinkling of other instruments such as violin and hammer
dulcimer. This soothing, romantic collection of memorable themes sweeps the
listener through the centuries and around the world. The music is largely
inspired by the beauty of the Olympic Peninsula.

New
Zealand — David Michael — Let
the magic of David Michael's harp transport you to Aeotearoa. (The Maori
name of New Zealand which means "land of the long white cloud.")
The compositions were largely inspired by David's impressions of this land with
its crystal clear skies.

Spirit
Rising — David Michael
& Randy Mead — This
second duo album from Michael & Mead again masterfully interlaces Celtic
harp and zithers with myriad wind instruments. This time, a more up-tempo
mood is achieved through the addition of tasteful and spirited percussion on
some tracks.
