Although intended for the Celtic or lever harp, all pieces in the Seraphim collection can be played on the pedal harp as well. Margie Butler — Margie's creative talents embrace vocal and instrumental music, as well as dance and teaching. She expresses her passion for Celtic music through her nimble playing of the Celtic harp and her clear, vocal renditions of the ballads that capture the eternal emotions of love, loss, and longing.  Margie's earliest musical influence came at the knee of her father, the talented Irish Tenor, William Butler.  Derek Bell of the Chieftains was a friend and a musical mentor, describing Margie's harp artistry as "a breath of fresh air." Margie received her degree from The United States International University of Performing Arts.  As co-Founder of Golden Bough she has toured with the trio to thousands of venues throughout North America, Europe, and Asia. In addition to her many Golden Bough CDs, Margie has recorded four internationally acclaimed harp CDs and is a guest harpist on the Linda Ronstadt recording, Dedicated to the One I Love. Laura Smithburg Byrne, harpist — Laura Smithburg Byrne professional harpist and instructor of harp in the Salzedo technique is in demand as a soloist, in chamber music, and in symphony orchestras. A versatile harpist, she has performed in professional ballet company orchestras, Broadway shows, and popular music venues. Mrs. Byrne performs her harp at a variety of events including charity events, corporate events, private parties, weddings, press parties, and on local and national television.
