The Sound
of Glass and Light — Maria Kern
— The Sound of Glass and Light is a
visual album, inspired by the elements light, water, wind and earth, which tie
the movements of the suite together. A complex, multi-layered composition,

Music for Snowdon — Songs and poems with harp
music from Wales, especially from Snowdonia, an area of outstanding natural
beauty in North West Wales. It is the second largest National Park in England
and Wales and much of it is looked after by the National Trust. The highest peak
is Snowdon, Yr Wyddfa in Welsh. Welsh-born Rachel Ann
Morgan plays the harp, recites poetry and sings. She also accompanies
Welsh tenor Geraint Roberts. The national anthem of Wales ends the disc, as it
traditionally ends all Welsh concerts in Wales. KTC

Folk
Harp Music of Austria — Christina Tourin
— The Tyrolean harp music on this recording presents three ways to enjoy this
unique instrument. The harp stands by itself as a solo instrument, as an
accompaniment (to the accordion of Maria von Trapp) and as an equal in ensemble
compositions (with the recorder and zither featuring Rosemarie von Trapp).
Christina performed at the Trapp Family Lodge for 17 years - the home of the
"Sound of Music".
