Denouement
Records — Boston Symphony Orchestra principal harpist Ann
Hobson Pilot commissioned Boston composer Kevin Kaska to write a Harp
Concerto. It was recorded with Ms. Pilot and the London Symphony Orchestra. The
work is one of the most difficult concertos in the harp repertoire. Its very
lyrical and memorable sound has Irish and American influences. The CD also
contains two works by John Williams: Trumpet Concerto featuring Arturo
Sandoval; Essay for Strings; and A Long Way: three songs featuring Kristine
Jepson by Kevin Kaska.
